About Danielle Iredale

Danni Iredale is one of Southern California’s premier trial attorneys. She has tried nearly thirty cases to verdict, often with favorable outcomes, and has won as many battles before they reached a courtroom — persuading prosecutors not to bring charges at all, or to agree to substantially reduced ones. Her reputation was earned the hard way: in front of juries, in the cases that carry the most at stake.

That record spans the full range of serious criminal work. She has represented clients in federal and state court for offenses including fraud in its many forms, crimes of violence, property crimes, drug-trafficking, and capital homicide. In a single year she obtained five acquittals or mistrials. She has won acquittals in prosecutions as serious as a human-trafficking case that carried the possibility of a life sentence, and she blocked the transfer of a juvenile client to adult court after a multi-week hearing — a ruling that spared a young person from the prospect of life in custody. She has handled high-stakes pre-charge representations and stood with foreign nationals extradited to the United States on major federal charges. She is also an effective advocate for plaintiffs in civil matters, with a particular focus on the deprivation of civil rights.

Before founding Iredale & Roth in 2025, Danni led her own San Diego practice for a decade. From 2011 to 2015 she was a public defender in New York City, where she represented more than 1,400 clients across the full sweep of felony and misdemeanor charges — the kind of volume that teaches a lawyer how people actually move through the system, and how much depends on someone in their corner who is paying attention.

She teaches what she practices, serving as an adjunct instructor at the University of San Diego School of Law and with the National Institute for Trial Advocacy, and is a member of the Criminal Defense Lawyers’ Club and Consumer Attorneys of San Diego. Danni is a 2011 graduate of Brooklyn Law School and a 2007 graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.
